Your iPhone - How to Download Movies, Music and eBooks

Have you been lucky enough to acquire the amazing Apple iPhone? Did you know that you could download movies, music and ebooks to it for your pleasure? I use mine everyday for this as I travel on the train to and from work each day. It sure takes the monotony out of this task and adds some pleasure as well, I am sure you know what I mean!

So let me tell you that there is a myriad of sites out there on the Internet from which you can download whatever you can envision. Are you aware of the Peer-to-Peer or Torrent sites that have become popular in the last few years? These sites come with a few issues for you if you aren't aware, 1st is that they have illegal items there but also these items can contain any sort of Virus or Trojan Horse which can certainly do major harm to your computer system or much more. My only recommendation here is to stay far away from those kinds of sites.

Luckily there are some sites around these days that are completely more sensible to us. It's a new breed of site, one where you can not only download movies, but you can also download games, music and ebooks too. The downloads are unlimited, the only payment is a one time fee that is paid before you can access, thus have the ability to download an amazingly huge list of available items. These downloads are usually on a high-speed connection and in very good condition also. The fee these sites are charging for their lifetime memberships is going from $30 - $50. Remember that this is for access to unlimited downloads and you will never be charged again. Not a bad price when you think that one download from another site can cost from $8 and up.

Now what equipment do you need to use this kind of service? Your computer does not have to be state of the art at all, as long as it is reasonably modern, it will suffice. The Internet connection is the most important thing here as if you are going to be downloading movies the file size is much much larger then a music file so you will need speed here.

I have made a small list to assist you here for consideration before purchasing access to one of these sites:
1. Ease of Use: The site should have a search function for easy access to the Titles.
2. A one Time Fee: This is the best value for your money, do not pay per download!
3. Selection: Do they have millions of titles available
4. Speed: How fast is there average download speed?
5. Tech Support: If you ever are in need of assistance do they provide have a service to help?
6. Secure Online Pay Processors: What is there security, what forms of payments?
7. Refund Policy: The best services will offer a refund no questions asked!

Happy Downloading,

Roy Ferren

Apple Itunes

Despite Apple's best efforts to thwart users creating iTunes ringtones for iPhones, a workaround has already been found and posted to the internet.

A method of using iTunes to create ringtones for the iPhone using songs not purchased from the iTunes Store was first posted by Simplyfreeiphone.co.uk on Friday. Users confirmed after installing iTunes 7.4.1 over the weekend that the method no longer worked.

However, a Simplyfreeiphone.co.uk post on Saturday details a workaround for the iTunes update, again allowing the free ringtones to be synced to the iPhone.

When Apple first announced the ability for users to create custom ringtones earlier this week, it was meant only for songs purchased from the iTunes Store. Users would have to pay an additional 99¢ for the ringtone.

Third-party applications such as Ambrosia Software's iToner have been updated to work with iTunes 7.4.1 and is available from the company's website.
